Dynamically generating diffraction patterns with SingleCrystal.
Dynamically generate diffraction patterns in collaboration with CrystalMaker and SingleCrystal.
SingleCrystal is a program for simulating and measuring diffraction patterns from single crystals using X-rays, neutrons, and TEM (transmission electron microscopy). It features a wide range of experimental forms, including reciprocal lattice representation, precession method, Laue front, back & cylinder patterns, and TEM. SingleCrystal displays high-resolution diffraction patterns generated by simulations. It is also possible to characterize these patterns by overlaying them on images of the observed patterns. A unique grid tool is provided that allows for easy and automatic indexing of diffraction patterns. SingleCrystal 5 can read files created by CrystalMaker, and by utilizing the "Live Rotation" mode, it can dynamically generate diffraction patterns based on the structural data displayed in CrystalMaker.
